THE CONTEXT
Nearbuy is a local search and discovery platform that connects users with the best deals and offers from local businesses and service providers in their city.
THE PROBLEM
-
The core problem was that the Nearbuy app’s user experience and information architecture were no longer aligned with the platform’s growing offerings.
-
Users struggled to discover deals across new categories, engagement was dropping, and feature limitations were affecting retention.
-
A redesign was required to create a more intuitive, visually modern, and scalable experience.

BEFORE REDESIGN

RESEARCH
Benchmarking
We performed benchmarking and category benchmarking of other products available in the market.

SURVEYS
Developed a set of questions for prospective users to understand their buying behavior on other shopping portals and on nearbuy, focusing on buying patterns, frequency, and desirable features to improve transaction success rates and revisit designs for enhanced user experience.

PERSONA
Built user personas to better understand our target audience

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
Created an Information Architecture to understand the broader perspective of the complete product

FEATURE PRIORITIZATION
To ensure the Nearbuy app effectively meets user needs and stays competitive, it's crucial to prioritize features strategically. Using the MoSCoW method, we can categorize the features based on their importance and urgency.
